Postby JustAGrl on Sat Nov 03, 2007 10:06 am

Has anyone ever organized a meet? It seems a lot of us are in PA, NY, OH, KY, and TN area and just wondered if one had ever been held or if anyone would be interested?

Actually, me and you kinda met before that bro!

I think I'll stop by today and get trauma center...

Biggest question though: Where would we do it?

That is a good question. I think we would need to find out first who is interested. Then we can work on a location that would hopefully work for everyone.

I was thinking if we planned far enough in advance then maybe more people could make it. And doing something that would make it possible for those with kids and families to bring them along. Maybe a BBQ or a picnic at a park next summer?

That sounds like a great idea!

NoRmus and I met in 1982 but he doesn't remember. Then we met again in 1995... :D

About a month after that we found out we were cousins.

If any of y'all ever come to the Austin area shoot me a PM and I will take you to get some good Tex-Mex (or a good steak) and give you a tour of the small post I work at.

Ah, Tex-mex...how i do miss thee... (Was born in San Antonio lived there until 13).

Hmmm...It'd be nice to get a face to all these names but I'm thinking I would have an extremely hard time making it. I'm in college which means my stay in NY is temporal and ends in May. It would be nice...

So if we were to do a meet in KY who would be interested?

Is that central enough for enough people to come (the people thus far that have expressed an interest)?

What time of year would be best?

Would a dinner be better than a trying to do a BBQ or the like?

In Kentucky, the late spring or mid fall is the best time. That's when it looks the best around here and the weather is the nicest!

I don't know about what else...
