Your Nominee for the Best G.I. Joe Issue

There is so much going on in the comic world that really anything can be discussed here. From DC to Marvel, from figures to movies, comics are everywhere with much to talk about.

Your Nominee for the Best G.I. Joe Issue

Take a stroll down memory lane with me and think back to the G.I. Joe comic run (Marvel). Of all the issues...which would be your favorite comic?
After all the nominee's are in, I'll put up a poll for us to vote for "Army4One's Favorite G.I. Joe Issue". If you need help thinking back, go to YoJoe.com and you can read a review of the issues and view the covers (for me, seeing the cover seems to jog my memory and I remember the story).

The first nominee in the category of Favorite G.I. Joe Issue is... :D

TheDoctor: What did I break? Sonicing and entering, totally different[/u]

I'll have to think about this. I'm not sure off the top of my head.

I would probably choose issue 61. It has a lot going on and for me was a turning point in the series. Joes are seriously injured and Hama delivers two HUGE surprises with Cobra Commander. I remember when I read it the first time and it just gripped me! I bet I read it twenty times! And the cover is very well done!
In short, Kick Quick and Snow Job are shot while on a secret mission to Borovia. Cobra Commander chooses Billy over Cobra and then Fred VII "kills" Cobra Commander, assuming his identity by putting on his armour.

I'm choosing issue 98, when Cobra Commander comes back from 'the dead.'

A favorite since I was a child.

Wow, reading my post followed by yours made me realize how long the REAL CC was out of the picture. It was like 35-40 issues, which equals 3 to 3.5 years!

I have fav storylines but it's hard to turn it down to issues. CC's return, Master and apprentice, Snake-eyes Declassified, the silent issue was great, so was stormshadow's debut. If i can pin one down later i'll let y'know.
