Lobo's movie reviews...

Postby lobo on Wed Oct 31, 2007 10:16 am

The following is a list of movies that I have purchased. All but a couple of them where purchased at pawn shops/dollar tree/discount bins for under $8 each. The movies I have watched, have a description afterwards.

Some of the movies require "Suspension of Disbelief" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspension_of_disbelief ), because most could never happen based on Christian beliefs.

Most are better watched on TV, because they have to be edited for inappropriate content.

DVD

Bells of Innocense

Warriors of the wasteland

Skeleton Man

Young Guns

Cabin Fever - Not real fond of this movie. Too much language and sexual content. Good ending. If you watch this movie, watch Dawn of the Dead '04 right after.

Bad Boys 2 - Way too much language. Too much "whining and complaining".

Terminator - Liked this movie.

Terminator 2 - Liked this movie

Terminator 3 - Interesting ending...

A fistful of dollars - Liked this movie. Same plot as Last Man Standing.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly - Liked this movie.

Loaded Weapon 1 - Some inappropriate content. Nice parody.

Desperado - Decent movie. Over the top effects. "What's in the guitar case?"

Once upon a time in Mexico - Way, way over the top effects.

The Punisher - Decent movie

Boot Hill & God's Gun

From Hell

The Negotiator - A little slow. Great ending. I've gone to scene selection just to watch the ending.

Pitch Black - decent movie.

The Chronicles of Riddick - ok movie. I like the cat scene towards the beginning.

Matrix - Liked this movie.

Matrix Reloaded - Huh?

Matrix Revolutions - Huh?

V for Vendetta

Teenagers from Outerspace & Teenage Zombies

Vampire Bat & Devil Bat

Phantom Raiders

Snakes on a Plane

28 days later - started watching this. Seems a little slow.

Resident Evil - ok movie.

Resident Evil Apocolypse - ok movie. Funny to watch on TV - "Motivator"...

The satanic rites of Dracula

Hellboy - ok movie. Couple of interesting quotes.

Ancient Warriors

Heaven's Fire

Bay Cove

Way of the Gun - Good gun handling.

King of the Zombies & Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Training Day

Predator - I liked this movie. I was saddened when they blew up the Jeep in the beginning... :(

Predator 2 - I didn't like this one quite as much.

The Terror & Revolt of the Zombies

The Exorcist

Doom - Decent action movie.

Army of Darkness

The Lone Ranger V2

Jack London & The Fast and the furious

The Terror

S.W.A.T. - I've watched this one several times.

The outlaw Jose Wales - One of my favorite movies.

Pale Rider - Another favorite movie.

Constantine - I've watched this one a few times. Easy to pick out inaccuracies.

Predator Huntin'

16 Blocks

Beneath the twelve mile reef

Last Man Standing - Always watched this one on TV. DVD has a few cut scenes that I don't care for.

Strike Force

Assignment : Outerspace

Jesse James meets Frankenstein's Daughter & The Monster maker

Mad Max - I liked this movie.

Mad Max The Road Warrior - I liked this movie.

Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome - I liked this, but not quite as much.

Tremors Attack Pack - Another favorite movie series. TV cuts out the language.

Deathrace 2000 & night of the living dead

Dawn of the Dead '78 - Liked this movie

Dawn of the Dead '04 - Liked this as an action movie. rather graphic.

King of the zombies & revolt of the zombies

Shaun of the Dead - OK movie, didn't think this lived up to the hype.

Cabin Fever - Not real fond of this movie. Too much language and sexual content. Good ending. If you watch this movie, watch Dawn of the Dead '04 right after. Plot: A bunch of young people stumble upon a mysterious disease in the woods. Death follows.

Desperado - Decent movie. Over the top effects. "What's in the guitar case?" Plot: A man's family is killed by drug dealers. Man goes after drug dealers. Death follows.

Once upon a time in Mexico - Way, way over the top effects. Plot: Drug dealers come after man from Desperado. He goes after them. Death follows.

The Punisher - Decent movie. Plot: Man's family is killed by a crime boss. He goes after them. Death follows.

Resident Evil - ok movie. Plot: Evil corporation reanimates dead people. Elite team is sent to investigate. Death follows.

Resident Evil Apocolypse - ok movie. Funny to watch on TV - "Motivator"... Plot: Evil corporation didn't learn the first time. Death follows.

The outlaw Jose Wales - One of my favorite movies. Plot: Man's family is killed by the "Red Legs". He goes after them. They go after him. They lose. Death follows.

Mad Max - I liked this movie. Plot: Policeman's family is killed by motorcycle gang. He goes after them. Death follows.

Mad Max The Road Warrior - I liked this movie. Plot: Policeman travels through post-Apocolytic Autralia and helps small band of survivors escape from weirdly dressed gang. Great car chase. Some death.

Tremors Attack Pack - Another favorite movie series. TV cuts out the language. Plot: Giant monsters appear in 1 and 4. Giant monsters mutate in 2 and 3. Burt kills them or they get blown up. Don't forget the umbrella...

Dawn of the Dead '04 - Liked this as an action movie. rather graphic. Plot: The dead reanimate. Small group of survivors try to escape. Death? follows.
