Round 2

We want to seek God with our whole hearts, bodies, and souls, so we're going to seek Him 6 weeks at a time.

Bed early is hard. I love staying up, but being an adult sucks. The Hobbit is pretty good so far, just realized I really don't enjoy reading. It's not bad per se, but I'd rather do something else. I think now it's more of a discipline thing than anything.

Day 6 - Tuesday, November 13
Physically
30 crunches x 2
10 sit-ups

Spiritually
Read 7 pages of "Blue Like Jazz"
Read Romans Chapter 7
Prayed before bed with Leslie

Other
Read 7 pages of "The Hobbit"
Went to bed at 11:20, better, but sill later than I wanted

Starting to feel that I'm doing things for me instead of God, so need to refocus.

Its easy to do. Look throughout the OT - Moses, Joshua, David, Job. They all at some time play the pride card.

Remember what you told me. "Why would I be doing this if I wasn't doing this for God?" There would be no reason.

I know how you feel there. I was planning on going to bed last night and getting some well-deserved rest for today. But then Stranger than Fiction came on HBO last night and I was drawn to it like a moth to the flame.

I think I crawled in bed around 1:30ish...

If TV's keeping you up, spring for DVR or Tivo or something. It completely changes the way you watch TV, and when. (For better or worse, I suppose)

And if you want to get to bed earlier than 10pm, try getting up at 4am instead ;)

DVR is on the list of things to get :D. Our utility bill went down by $60 a month after adjustments, so DVR and Digital Cable were almost a done deal. Then our health insurance went up $60 :D

bad day. we recorded our podcast late last night, so I was up late. I let a hint of temptation in yesterday and it festered because I didn't pray to God when it happen. I haven't been this disgusted and angry with myself in a while. I wish more than anything that I could always be this disgusted with my sin.

A good weekend. Church was awesome, and slowly turning everything back towards the Lord. I may cut out the physical this 6 weeks, so that I can truly focus on the spiritual side of things, then focus on physical in Round 3

how is blue like jazz so far?

good to see your still hard at work on it. God has clearly been helping you through it.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send and who will go before us?"
Then said I, "Here am I, send me." Isaiah 6:8

Haha, it's a good thing you cut out the physical when you did! Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner wouldn't have been the same for you...

:D

I don't have to really about the weight thing, but my biggest physical concern is the future chances of heart disease. I figured I need to start doing physical stuff now so it's not harder to get into later.
