Anyone interested in a Fantasy Baseball League?

I've got a couple of things I'm interested in doing to make a non-standard type league, but I could be convinced to run a standard roto or points league if anyone is interested.

Matt,

I agree 100%. I was thinking of starting a Yahoo league with roster updates once a week. That way it isn't as much time spent.

I do have another idea that I want to try. I want to run an MLB All Stars challenge. Pick a set roster (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, 2xUtility, 5xSP, 4xRP) or something. Then everyone picks teams at the beginning of the year, and your team isn't contingent on my team. In other words, if we both feel that Santana should be one of our 5SP, then we can both have him. Once the roster is picked and submitted, that is it. Then at the end of the year, compile the stats for a 5x5 roto and compare to see who has the best team.

Then the other idea I have is what they do on the morning show on the XM Radio Baseball channel. It is called Power Locks. You pick a pitcher every weekday that you think will get the win. I don't remember how they score it if he doesn't get the win or loss (a no decision). I usually do that with them when I remember. :)

Hello.
I might be interested. I was thinking more of the head-to-head starting 5 hitters and 5 pitchers. But I'm not real picky, as I've not totally committed to it yet. I did a salary cap type a few years ago, similar to your first all-star option. It didn't work out too well. It was neat at first, but got boring as soon as most everyone had similar players. The rosters were not locked, we made weekly updates.

I love baseball, and fantasy mlb is laid back. Don't let all the games fool you Matt. But I'm kind of jammed for time too, but willing to join.

Going through Yahoo would be great. That's where I flex my football muscle and whoop up on Matt and Chad :D

Let's go Cubs!
